Hi,

A friend fo mine has a 2003 9-5 aero (auto). If he leaves the car sitting for about 10days, he can't start the car. Its still under warranty and the dealer has replaced his battery (apparently its a smaller battery) and still has the same problem. They gave him a battery charger as well.
Is this right or is there and electrical problem somewhere cause the battery to drain quicker than usual?

Shouldn't really have a problem leaving a car for a couple of weeks, especially with a new battery As you say maybe something is drawing off the power...

Maybe some electric fault with the lights? or audio unit drawing power whilst being off.

Check to see if the ignition barrel pops up when he removes the key. Mine occasionaly gets stuck and any electrical ancillary i have on won't turn off.

When mine does that you cant lock the car either

We have seen a few cars needing new batteries of late, I guess we have a lot of toys :lol:
