I posted about 6 weeks ago that i had very little psssh from my twin piston atmospheric dump valve:(

Just found out why:roll:

The 17 year old son of my mate had a look at the engine, and without me telling him, he said "your dump valve is in the wrong place":eek:

I had it on the other black pipe which the standard bosch dump valve was fitted to..... had a 50/50 chance when i fitted it, and i blew it (forgive the pun!)

Now she pssshs away like a good un!!!;oops:

Would i have done any damage from blocking up the wrong pipe?:suprised;

if your car is still boosting fine then u have done nothing terrible, what u caused by doing this though is called compressor surge, this causes all the pressurized air to hit the turbine when the throttle flap is shut

Hopefully i havent done any damage then, as its still boosting ok, big difference in performance now :D it must make a big difference when fitted the wrong way around;oops:
