Hi. I used to drive a 93 SS but sold it for an M5. Now, I'm looking at this
black 03 aero wagon and it has about 75k miles. What are the things I should
look for when purchasing a used car like this. It's a private party sale
and I can probably get it for 9k. Is this a good price? The condition is average.
The owner claims they just replaced the brakes, fuel filter/pump, spark plugs in the last 6 months. How are the engines of these cars?

thanks a bunch!

9 seems absurd - particularly for an '03 (I'm assuming 9-3) which had quite a few issues.

For reference I just bought a 2005 9-5 Arc with 58k and two years left on the CPO warranty for the same price. You should hunt around until you find something that's a no-brainer rather than something you're not sure about; there are tons of great deals to be had, but you have to wait a bit due to the dearth of vehicles.

Considering he's posting here on the 9-5 forum I'm assuming he's talking about an MY03 9-5 Aero Wagon, but I agree the price is high... it may have something to do with the location... what are other saabs going for in SF, CA area?
