Just picked up an 86 sedan with blown head gasket. Does anyone have a picture or have in hand a set of the hubcaps that fit on the steel rims? There are four tabs at equilateral spacing, and it does remind me of baby moons.

What are baby moons?

Is the cap you are looking for the round silver one with 4 holes for the lugnuts? Or is it the round without the holes?

Oh how quickly they forget their heritage. 116 listings for baby moons on e-bay

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=baby+moon+hubcaps

Full moons (refer to MOON racing) covered the entire rim interior (streamlining for converted drop tanks on lake and Bonneville racers). Baby moons cover the lugs and axle nut. I was referring to whether or not someone remembers such with the Saab name or logo. These are an iconic hot rod item, but 50's to early/mid 70's cars used them frequently on steel rims in production.

I dunno, somehow the ones on standard center caps are decidedly less impressive, I'd want to call them "dog dishes" instead of baby moons, though the C900 type is kind of in the middle...
