I know that GM put the 4 cyl saab engine in some of their cars, but the ones I have seen eliminated the turbo. Did GM ever go all the way and put the saab engineered engine including the turbo in any of their cars?
Notable modern variants of the turbo-4 are found in the Buick Regal and the Cadillac ATS.
I test drove a Regal and the engine compartment looks kind of similar to our 9-3 2.0T, except they moved the power steering to be belt driven instead of cam driven.
Wow! A lot of good info there. The closest to a direct use of the engine in our Saab's seem to be in the high performance GM cars and not in a family type vehicle. I will keep studying. Thanks.
