Thats the exact same thing I will be getting (I have to wait until the end of next week though). You're over on fatwallet also right?
fatwallet?

If youre referring to purchase price I found a dealer in Mass who had a great price;) ...

At least I think I got a good deal out of 15 dealers in my quad state area that I called and harrassed for a price...

Picking mine up Friday

Hi folks, can't believe I'm a Saab owner again. last one was new in 1980 Saab 900 turbo. Great car except kept hitting the $500 catalytic converter on anything other than 3 inches high. Got too expensive. this one being a tried and true Subaru guts, should be great. Have not even test driven it, as I'm driving 5 hrs one way to Tacoma, Wa. to pick it up. Hard to find any 5 speed Aeros west of the Rockies. Desert Silver Metallic, no leather, with cold pkg, with sport package, $500 over invoice and minus $8,000 in incentives. Could not pass that up.
how are you able to get $8k in incentives? I thought that the incentive was $6k from GM and $1k for the hotbutton.
the $7000 you already know about, and I received a coupon from GM titled

"exclusive offer certificate
$1000 or (small print $500)
Has my name and a "unique Id# on it, and
*see back side for details where it says $1000 offer valid on a bunch of GM cars, and only one Saab, the 9-2X. I've scanned it and the dealer has it, and worked the $8K into my deal. Faxed me a copy of the deal sheet.

Took Delivery today

With some sadness trading in my 36 month friend the TT, I excitedly drove the 92-x home to Lewiston, Id today from Tacoma. Enjoyed all about the car, except had the same enoying rattles from the tip of the cruise control stalk, and the light rumble in the passenger door panel from any bassy CD. For the price difference at MSRP from my traded in TT, this is a very good car at first glance.
Mix in the cost of $500 over invoice, and the $8000 in incentives, and you have a serious advantage. I like the door guards I had installed and the hood guard. Look great to me anyway with the Desert Silver color.

Is there any-

-last min dealer options/ setups that I should be aware of before going to pick it up?
i.e. on the Mini Cooper there was a whole page of options that you could have programed at the dealer just before pick up.

Is this the case with the Aero?

No Surprises

Nope, I told the finance mgr. that I don't buy the "extras" they pitch, and he was great, didn't even try. With a 4 yr bumper to bumper warranty, I'll take my chances, the factory waxing looks great, and the two options, door guards and hood guard were installed at ready to go. My lease showed those two parts at dealer cost, about 60% of what they advertise for in the brochure.
good luck!

where to find dealer invoice prices

We were looking to get an Aero in the next few weeks but that $7000 incentive is too good - unfortunately I am just starting the research. Can anyone pass along or point me to the dealer invoice/dealer cost numbers? I would like to walk in with loaded guns...

FYI There is only about $600 to $800 difference between "invoice" and "sticker" so dont expect TOO much of a discount off the price....just use the $7000.00 rebate to your advantage......If you know anyone that works for GM they can get you another $1000.00 rebate...

Cheers,
Bigger spread than that

I just paid $500 over factory invoice, and the spread is definitely greater than 5-600 dollars. It was $1421. I would ask to pay $500 over invoice and see the invoice. To that base cost, I had to add back my negative equity of the TT, $4k and the dealer cost of hood guard, and door guards, then subtract the $8k in incentives, which gave me my cap cost to figure the lease. I was surprised to know that I had to pay 9.1% Washington sales tax on the $8K rebates. Dang it. So glad I moved to Idaho.
Vitch, what does that Desert Silver look like?

Im thinking of getting that color. Thanks!
Pictures of Desert Silver with hood/door guards

I'm not real computer savy, and this thread says my photo is too large to insert in my "profile". Any suggestions. I would be glad to email anyone the 2 photos I've just taken of my slightly dirty from the trip over Saabaru.
