Greetings forum users. Does anybody have any idea how to replace the dash light led for the alarm without just ripping it out of the dash? I think it may be dead.

I've had this car since June '09, a good size section is missing from the owners manual, and the Haynes manual, well...

From what I have of the owners manual, it explains the deadlock feature, but I don't know if the '94 900s came with a separate remote fob for arming. Does the 'deadlock' arm the alarm? And, it looks like there could be another LED in the corner of the SID. Should this be flashing as well if armed?

No burnt fuses....

Thanks, Marc

The deadlock function is separate from the alarm. You need to use the fob to arm/disarm the alarm. I believe if you get the correct fobs the dealer can program them, but I'm not sure about the details.

The LED-looking thing in the corner of the SID isn't supposed to light up.

Thanks! You guys are the best!

Now I just have to see about getting the fob... Hopefully it won't be as painful as I'm anticipating: I ran into a guy at the dealership that trailered his 9-3 cv halfway across Wisconsin because of alarm issues...

SOLVED- Fuse was blown, but for some reason almost impossible to see. Had to hold it up to the bright sun. Beyond that, for the 1994 mode year alone, no fob was available to activate the alarm and dead lock. Just the keys. Now armed and blinking.

Source for info- Metropolitan Cadillac Saab West Allis, WI. Big thumbs up to these guys!
