It seems that Robert Collin didn't like it.....

http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/bil/story/0,2789,678517,00.html

I tried to translate it with a web translator, and the few thing I could understand is that the 9-7x it has some Saab cues, but in general is a Trail Blazer with the same bad quality in some materials, the typical big exterior and small interior espace as many American cars and for the double of price of the Trail Blazer....

I must recognize that Saab make some effort to make it a good car, some reviews demonstrate it, but in Europe......I like it, I always liked the Trail Blazer and those V8 engines with that sound, but for me it is a shame that Saab couldn't develop a better SUV, as must be done with the project of the Cadillac SRX.

Actually, he hates it.

The interior has been somewhat changed - but most of it feels as cheap as the $20,000 Trail Blazer. But the Saab costs $40,000...

All the words in the press-material about Saab character, driving dynamics, saftety and so on are without any merits.

The steering is without precision.

The ride is bumpy despite rear air suspension.

Only the front looks like Saab, the rest of the exterior panels are from the Oldsmobile Bravada.

Should not be compared to European premuim SUV:s, but to Chevrolet Trail Blazer.

He even hates the A/C - too cold...

1. Robert Collin hates EVERYTHING with a Saab badge on it, and always has (the 9-3 sportcombi being the only exception so far)

2. He "conveniently" forgot to mention that those 20 grand gets you a BASE model, 2WD trailblazer. Equip it with 4WD and all the other goodies that the 9-7X has standard, and you end up at some $36000 instead of those "20" he's raving about.
