My 95 900S convertible has chrome aftermarket alloys. I took one of them off for the first time today to check the front suspension (shocks, ball joints and at least one CV boot need replacing). Was surprised to discover that each wheel bolt was secured to the rotor/hub with only several "threads" (about 6mm). I came to the conclusion that the thickness of the alloys must have been considerably more than the original wheels. The wheel bolts themselves are about 50mm in overall length with about 25mm of that length being threaded.

Any idea where I can get longer wheel bolts? Are they available in a range of lengths?

I believe that if you go into an Autozone (or any parts story), they will have the wheel bolts in varying lengths (they are behind the counter mind you). Worth a shot.

Hmmm...I guess that just made up my mind as to whether I'll be ordering the accessory lug kit with my replacement rims.
