I'm in the midst of doing my brakes, and got to the point where I was ready to reinstall the new rotor shipped to me from Tire Rack when I realized my car doesn't have the 308mm Aero rotors--hence the new ones won't fit. :x

My question is: The pads seem to be the same, so is the only difference the caliper carrier and rotor between an 04 Arc and 04 Aero?

I need to figure this out ASAP and don't have WIS handy (I'm at my dad's shop without my laptop), as I have to make a call on whether to ship the rotors back to Tire Rack tomorrow and get them to ship me the proper replacements or if I can try to source a pair of used Aero caliper carriers and install the new parts I have on hand. Thanks.

I thought the 04 arcs had the aero front brakes top-and so did tire rack who had the 308mm motors specced for it. But. I think the 04 arc was a transitional car. Eeuroparts lists a VIN split when listing the rotors, but my cars VIN is higher than the changeover. No question my rotors and carriers are smaller, though.

One more question: will carriers from pre-02 aeros work on an 02-up car?

Update: Apparently I misunderstood, as the '01 Aero caliper carriers definitely do not mate up with the 02-up front hubs. Calipers themselves do seem to be an exact match, though.

Tire Rack only stocks the 308mm rotors, so I'd have to pay shipping to return them without being able to exchange.

I'm going to source a pair of calipers and carriers from an 02-up Aero.
