Morning all

I have a low budget (2k), and I have seen a few Saab 93 TID's im interested.

Whats the difference between the 1.9 and 2.2 diesels?
Should I be put off that the cars i'm after will all be 100k+?
What usual things do I need to look out for?

Which is the better car out of the 1.9 TID and the 2.2?

Please give me some advice as going to look at a few over the weekend ;ol;

Very basic knowledge but i believe the 2.2 is an older engine, the 1.9 is the newer diesel variant.
Ive just bought a 9-3 for £2k on a 04 plate, Vector Sport, although a 2ltr Turbo. Great car choice but i am a novice so not sure on what may go wrong but there cracking cars

Forget the 2.2

Stick to the 1.9, preferably in 150 format but saying that, the 120 is more durable and can be remapped to 150bhp anyway

On both 1.9 engines, if over 100k you'll be wanting proof that the cambelt / waterpump changes have been done

On the 150, make sure the swirl flap connecting rod is still attached (lots of info on the internet about that)

Disgard any that require a new clutch (and no doubt DMF) unless you're buying an auto!
