The oil cap/dip stick broke off but just the top, the black part is still there covering the cap... is it safe to run it this way until I can get a new one delivered? Local dealership doesn't even stock it.

I would at least put a few strips of duct tape over the top. Your engine looks pretty nice now. I don't know how much pressure develops in the crank case while on boost, but cleaning a quart of oil off the engine can spoil you whole day.

Maybe you can get a cable tie around the thing so it holds it in place? Those cable ties, if routed correctly can stand a bit of pressure.

I do not think there is too much pressure at the cap. Have you even taken the drain tube apart? The middle juncture is tiny, with a very small o ring and it just snaps together with the deeper section of the drain pipe. The cap itself is also pretty "weak". In other words, I do not think there is tremendous amount of pressure going through that area. There might be some, but not a lot. Although not adviced, I heard of people removing the oil cap while the engine is running. They lived, so the pressure must not be too high.
