Does anyone happen to know what happens if you wire a 9-3SS/9-5 temp sensor to an OG9-3? Does ACC care the fan is AWOL? Is the thermistor (I presume) of similar enough characteristics? I'd accept maybe some temp control wackiness as placement is played with, but aside from that?

Could I ask "why"? Is the temp sensor bad on your cabin fan? I have a noisy fan I could pull the sensor from if you don't mind waiting until the end of the month.

The fan thing is just a dumb design. It was dumb in the '80s and it was dumb in 2002. Probably 50% of the 9-3s I've bought over the years have the thermistor physically broken off and probably 80% of them have a fan that won't spin due to crud. I'd love a solution that doesn't require ongoing maintenance! Saab obviously realized it wasn't a great approach as they did away with it (eventually).
