Hello my 2005 Saab 9-3 2.0T Sedan AC does not blow cold air. I had the motor blower fix and it's only blowing HOT air.

My mechanic took a look at it and recharged the Freon along with some dye. He quoted that the "evaporator core leaks" since the Freon was leaking out. He wanted quoted that it would be around $2000-$3000 just to get it fix.

Is there a way where I can do it for a much cheaper price?

Thank you!

That's what I though! I mean come on! A Saab is almost comparable to a Volvo and other European cars, but not larger than a Mercedes-Benz.

The first mechanic told me that he needs to rip the whole AC apart and install a new one, I guess he means the condenser, hose, and everything... (Quoting 2K-3K).

The second one told me that it was just the evaporator and it was leaking...

I don't know what to do now...
