I need to change an ABS sensor, which I'm fairly certain will mean a broken bolt and with it a new sensor mount. With those brass inserts for the bolts I don't see much hope at extracting the original bolt without breaking the mount.

So, I figure on replacing the mount (spare in stock). But, I don't recall much about the mount to hub bolt itself. If you pull the brake shield, are threads visible from the hub side of the strut? I'd like to get it out without breaking it. I'll replace with stainless, but I don't want to spend half the day working on extracting it if I can avoid it.

Thanks... but actually wondering what the other side looks like. Are the threads of that mounting bolt visible behind the shield?
