My A/C wasn't working when i got my car....it has 200k on it. I put to cans of recharger in it and it was pretty cold for a few days. Then it got hot again spiratically and now its hot all the time. Do I need to replace the compressor or is it more complicated than that? Thanks.

If it cooled the air for a couple of days after you recharged it, that means there is a leak and the compressor is probably OK. Check at the connections, unions, or there may be a small a small crack in the lines. Or, take it to a trusted mechanic and let the Pro handle it. He has the proper tools and experience. In the long run it will probably be cheaper. Also you don't run afoul of anti-pollution stuff.
