I have only had my Saab for almost a year, but the A/C has never worked. If I turn it all the way to low which Im told is how it is turned on) it blows cool air (but not very cool) but it def isnt as cold as it should be. It has always been like this. I didnt really care that it didnt work when I lived in Maine, but being in Arizona now, the 90 to 110 degree days are coming and it sure would be nice!

Is there a way to know that is just needs recharging?
Is there a recharge kit I can buy to do it myself so I dont have to go to the dealer?

Its a 95 900 SE V6. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it works a little, it probably is just a low charge. You can buy a hose with a guage and some refrig. fluid at most auto parts stores. There's a valve that looks like a tire valve on the drivers side, just behind the radiator, and that's where it goes.

Oh, and I think you can get the recharging stuff for about $30.00 or so. Not a big outlay if it doesn't happen to work. But I think it will.
