I am taking my 1995 2.5 V6 in for the 90K service of which will include a free replacement of the timing belt under the Saab pre100k agreement. The 90K service includes oil, filter and lube, fuel filter, radiator flush , brake system flush, rotate ,balance and alighnment, spark plug replacement, air filter.

My question is....since they will have that side apart for the timing belt, is there anything that would be a good idea to replace as well such as the waterpump or the altenater? etc.? since everything else is pretty much original equiptment.

Cheers

If the intake manifold must be removed, then do the t-stat and plugs.

Assure that the timing belt tensioner is changed as well; But I do not know its normal service life.
Another reason why neatly kept service records are so important, for the original owner and future owners.

Maybe the water pump should be changed, but these too last a lot longer now; same with the alternator, but just do the brushes....
But the alternator may not be in the line of attack...
Also have the timing belt cover gasket carefully checked...
