I don't think so... the fuel system is run by LH Jetronic ... 2.4 or 2.4.2 depending on year. The DI/APC system only handles boost and ignition. I don't think there is any interaction between DI/APC and the fuel pump. The pressure sensor (may be MAP, I don't know) only tells DI/APC about charging pressure. The fuel system relies on the MAF to infer that information.
