Hi All,

Just got an old 93 really like but my back window washing is producing no water; the motor is whirring but nothing comes out. I have checked the nozzle is not clogged.

The front washer is working fine and I was told that the two pipes come from the same washer bottle and to check the one going to the back but the washer bottle goes into the bottom of the metal of the engine compartment.

Can anyone help ?

Me too.

Action 1.
Get a friend to run the rear washer while you watch carefully for any washer fluid leaks.

Action 2.
Search around that area for a disconnected washer pipe.

Mine had become disconnected close to the left hand side bonnet (hood) hinge, an easy fix.

Incidentally I had a similar problem on my Ford Focus only this time the leak was from the screen washer pump itself. It looks and works the same as a Saab one.

I potted the pump casing where the leak was with much Araldite and it has never leaked since.

Let us know what your problem was.

If you take off the front left fender liner, you can get to the pump. There's a check valve down there for the rear line that may be gummed up.
