So I have a 97 2.3L non turbo 900 s and I dont want to change the crank sensor and want to put a distributor in that has the Hall Sensor, does anyone know what year distributor will work? I did the same thing with a 93 Saab 2.3l non turbo last year and it worked fine but i forgot what year distributor I got. might have been 85 or 86?

yes that is one reason why... Im also installing a GoTech ECU and its not picking up spark from the CPS consistantly. They said I might have to move the crank sensor closer to the trigger and there is no adjustment to do this so i figured id just bypass the CPS all together and use the distributor.

Moving the downpipe gives lots of room to grind it off. I replaced it with a regular hex head bolt when I put the new CPS in. If it had been a hex head to begin with this would have been a 20 minute job.
