Is the gear column in reverse ? also normally it is the ignition switch its self that get jammed up and stops the key from turning, so there are two screws on the backside of column (Phillips) under the ignition where the key goes, you have crawl under there and undo the screws, then the switch can be pulled straight out, and then the key should freely turn. and you probably just nee a new switch.

Could also be the reverse lock out, but start with the switch first.

I know Mark Ashcraft sells replacement ignition locks for the 95/96/Sonett too if it comes to that.

The other solution is to run a (1999-2009) 9-5 Key and ignition and switch in the same stock spot, the barrel fits in the stock hole, that way you can get service parts light ignition switches and the keys. Here are some pics so you know I am not just telling you story.

Well the doors are a different matter.
