Hi All

Not sure if anyone would know on this forum, but trying to establish whether a 1998 95 SE manual would fit into 94 aero.

Having nothing but woes with my gearbox, have a brilliant 95 engine + gearbox sitting there so trying to work out whether it will fit.

Understand that diff ratio is different, just trying to get something suitable as not many aero gearboxes pop up in Aus.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

It will be fine . Mine has a 1996 lpt box in a 94 aero and the ratios are still pretty lazy.Only thing is the inner cv joints maybe smaller. The inner driver cup size varies between Aero and lpt. Just noticed you said a 95 box not a 9000? In that case Im not sure sorry.

A Saab 9-5 gear box won't fit in a Saab 9000, but a MY1995 gearbox from a Saab 9000 will fit in a MY1994 Saab 9000. You may need to change over the inner drivers, one at a time. If the ID plate is still attached to the top of the 9000 gearbox, you can look up the model and see if it fits in your car.
