1992 Saab 9000 FPT 220,000 miles.

I bought this car with a bad head gasket, replaced it. I also fixed several vacuum leaks. Now the turbo seems to pressurize as it should. When I run the car for 20 minutes smoke emits from the turbo, seemingly where the two housings mate. The engine has HUGE oil consumption 1 qt every 2 hrs. Compression test indicates 80 - 90psi with no increase when oil squirted into cylinders.

Is it posible that the turbo is causing this oil loss? If so will a standard $100. rebuild kit fix this? If not can I use any T25 or is the saab turbo specific? Also is this compression leval normal?
