I am replacing the vacuum line which runs from the plastic y piece splitter near the brake & coolant reservoir into the firewall. Is the hose continuous from the firewall into the back of the gauge cluster where it hooks up to the boost gauge? The line has come out of the firewall and the end does not seem like it tore off from me yanking on it.

I've taken out the left speaker but cannot tell where the other end of the hose coming from the boost gauge exits from. Do I need to remove the dash to fix this?

Update: I found it. There is a 2 way plastic connector piece under the dash towards the outside of the car. The Turbo gauge is reading lower now at idle. It's not at the center white line atmospheric pressure mark. Time to recheck my work.

The gauge will only read atmosphere where the engine is off, or briefly during transitions from vacuum to boost. When the car is running, it's basically either vacuum or boost, never atmosphere.
