Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 9000 AERO (see title). Does anybody know the specification of that engine (Nm, performance, etc)? Is it worth interest? It's an Italian version.

In the states the Aero version of the SAAB 9000 had 225hp stock!! They are very fast and agile for there size!:cheesy:

Italy has some very restictive tax/regulation on cars, so there were often special versions for the Italian market.. perhaps it is one of those?

There is/ was a hefty tax break at 2.0 litres to the extent that even Ferrari was forced to do a 2.0litre model at one point. (bhp didnt matter so slap a turbo on)
Anyway - this was why there was a 2.0litre Aero in Italy and it used the 185bhp FPT 2.0litre engine. I guess it would be like the 175bhp 9k with a slight chip upgrade but I can't see any info on it I'm afraid...
