I have a '92 900 and I was wondering if any headlight assemblies from certain year 9000's are compatible with the 900's. I know that some of the earlier ones look similar.

Pretty sure they wont fit

The 9000 headlights will not fit into the 900 models nor will the grills interchange.

Headlight fitment for 900 and 9000 listed

900 1979 - 1986 (Non integrated bumper)

900 1986 - 1993 (Integrated bumper)

9000 1985 - 1994 (CD Sedan)

9000 1994 - 1998 (CS Front)

Note: Some 9000's (1990-1993) are sedan fronts on hatch models and take the CD headlight, indicators and grills)

Pretty sure this is accurate but open for correction.

Yep. There are 3 9k assemblies, the early "flat" style, the slanted CD style (and later hatch) as well as the CS narrow style.

900 doesn't fit ever.

Too Bad... With the classic's old reflector design, even running VERY hot bulbs doesn't equal the output of newer headlights.

Has anyone created newer tech headlights for the C900? Without losing the classic look of course. Using an old housing and mounting some new Angel eyes or similar projectors would be easy but I still want my c900 to look like a c900 at night not a bmw.

The old US-spec headlights are notoriously ineffective, which is why so many people change them for European E-code headlights.
