Correct resistance of the sensor is 200-900 ohm. You do not need to remove the sensor to test.

I'd add, if you are inclined to go to the effort of crawling up in there then just change the CPS with a Bosch and be done with it.

Fifty bucks well spent.

Can you elaborate on this? I've never heard of that, it would be handy to know how.

... if you have Tech 2 you can just do "fuel pump activation" but honestly the jumper is faster.

You could have replaced the CPS numerous times by now, why are you reluctant to do so?

It's a relatively cheap part and a very easy job.

Not trying to be an alarmist but….to me, it sounds like there’s something wrong internally.

I just hear a lack of battery.

You have to have a good strong battery to get proper compression numbers.

Have you done a pressure test of the cooling system to see if the head gasket is leaking?

Buy a kit that analyzes the coolant to see if there are combustion gases in it.
