I am looking on purchasing a 2000 saab 9-5 aero. The headlights dont work and i was wondering if there is any common problems with the wiring or if it just happens to be a relay or bulb (something easily repaired).

There is a common failure of a relay that is in the fuse box just by the battery, it's orange. The solder joints crack and the lights stop working. if you can work a soldering iron and have a few minutes on your hands you can usually re-flow the solder and all will be good.

test by tapping the orange relay and see if the lights come on. if t hey don't it's probably something else.
