So i was snooping around the internet and found these interesting photos of what appears to be a saab SUV, but it looks like its made of plastic ...

Or am i getting these confused with the 9-6x?

BTW, this is the 2008 Subaru Tribeca:

Coincidence ..... NOT !
Indeedily doo. The pictures above were from the shot-down 9-6X. They aren't dealing with subaru anymore. Not after the mass destruction they felt from the 9-2X (many of which were sold at nearly half sticker or bought by the dealerships to use as loan cars, just so they could get them off the lot).
The bottom picture of the first post is the 9-3X.

The pic of the 9-3, it was leaked in 2003. There are 3 pics from the SACC in Pixbo, that somebody upload, but few days after were eliminated.

One pic was from the Sporthatch, the other one was from the 9-3 convertible and the last one was this one. This is the 9-3crossover version that was cancelled by GM. It was suppose to use the new AWD system developed by Saab and Haldex(remember that Saab and Haldex anounced his joint development in 2000).

The Sporthatch was delayed 2 years, and the Convertible was launched in 2004 and that pic showed the definitive model. The same as the sporthatch.
In 2003 it was supposed to be launched the GMT266, the Saab 9-7x based in the development of the Cadillac SRX, but GM saw that was expensive and could compete with the SRX in sales. Then the GMT256 project as 9-7x based on the Aztec, but cancelled and finally used the GMT360 platform for the 9-7x.

THen as you know the 9-6x, based on the Tribeca and also begun a project with Subaru to develop a Boxer Diesel engine(that this year was launched), but after GM sold Subaru shares, the 9-6x was cancelled, when the car was ready for production.

with the 9-5.......well, 3 consecutive projects were cancelled in the last 10 years.

Now the 9-3ss, it was supposed to be launched in 2009 aprox. with the Epsilon II, now is supposed to be launched in 2010-2011. And we saw some stupid decisions as to develop a interior restyling in 2007 and exterior restyling and some mechanic changes for 2008.

regards
