Ok so long story short. We bought A 2003 9-3 with a stage 1 tune. The car was running like crap and threw codes for cylinder 4 misfire and maf. I checked the plugs and number 4 was destroyed and loose. Number 2 was loose as well. I put new plugs in and she runs better.

Here's the deal though I cleared the codes with the engine running and now it's throwing a cylinder 3 misfire code and cylinder 1 misfire with fuel cutoff. I can't even get these codes to clear either.

Is something weird going on because I cleared the codes with the engine running?

OK, well never scan a car or clear a car running. Turn the car to ON only and clear them. Dicsonnect code read, start it up and drive around. If there is a problem you will get a check engine light. If not, Saab on.

The reason the codes weren't clearing is that they are coming back immediately. I keep getting p1343. I swapped coil packs between cylinder 3 and 4 and no change. Plug on 1 looks OK.
