So my 1999 9-3 has a brand new glitch........... When I put my foot hard to the pedal the engine cuts out momentarily. I get multiple cut outs if I leave my foot down on the pedal, just one if I back off the gas. The car runs perfectly if I am not agressive. The boost gauge moves to the third bar at about the time the engine cuts. I don't yet understand the technology but I think it has something to do with to much boost. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

At what RPM does this occur ? And which gear ?

There is a designed in boost limit for first and second.

What does your manual have to say about this ?

Check for a loose or split hose leading from your boost pressure valve solenoid to the wastegate.

It sounds like boost cut...

It's an automatic and can happen at 3,000 rpm plus in any gear. At this point I'm looking at the apc valve.
