Well I found that the Saab I was going to buy. But it had 3 or 4 2.0 lt blown Motor. What could be causing this issue. The newest motor is a Viggen 2.3 lt.

My guess is sludge. But was told they change the oil every 3500 miles. They use synthetic oils. The only thing they use was on the old motor was 87 low grade gas.

Sounds like someone beat the sh** out of the engine. Mine has 174*** miles and is running strong. It never needs oil between the 3500-4000 mile oil changes... Ron

agreed... if they have gone through 4 motors then they clearly are not taking care of the car. The only real car related problem I could see causing that would be fuel related.... starving the engine till it overheats and blows.

IMO don't buy a car from someone who has gone through 3 or 4 motors.... who knows the condition of the rest of the car.

If its a T7 9-3 and they have never replaced the MAF sensor then that could be the issue. Old MAF's will make the engine run lean = broken pistons etc....

I would agree with you. But they went from a 2.0lt motor to a 2.3lt motor I think there are two different types maf sensor?

Re

You might want to have the ECU checked incase someone changed the fuel mapping and its runiing lean. It should be throwing codes then, though.
