On Friday/Sat I had my windows tinted and I had 3M bumper film also applied. The dude hooked it up. He tinted all the windows except the windshield, the 3M film is on the whole front bumper, the front fenders, the mirrors, the headlights and foglights, all door edges and on the leading edge of the hood scoop. I priced around and just for the film everyone wanted to charge me between 400 and 700 dollars and that's only for the front bumper and hood film kit, doesn't include the hood scoop, lights or door edges. For $588 this guy did the film and the window tint.

Here are some pics...

You can kind of see the edge of the film on the fender. Depending on what angle you are at the film edge is virtually invisible. If you are in Southern California and what your car done with this film or tint let me know and I'll give you this guys number. He is actually the owner. His shop is in Rosemead.

Now all you need to do is take those badges off! I have the exact same car as yours, and I haven't looked back since I took the "Aero" and the "9-2X" off. You may also want to disable the DRL's as they are not needed.

How do I disable the DRL's?

Looks great man! Keep up the good work.
Thanks Todd. I'm now researching what gauges to get. I like the Defi Link gauges but they are about $200 a piece plus the required controlling unit and the gauge housing, but on a brighter note they look awesome and match the red needle and green numbering of our stock intruments.

There's a write up DIY somewhere on this forum.
I'll have to look for that. Thanks for the info.

 Dude, I'm liking the tints, are those 30% all around? I was thinking of getting 30%'s on the front and rear seat windows, then 20% on the tiny rear quarters, back and a 20% or 30% strip on the front windshield. My 9-2x is black, also do you have to worry about tickets for tints where you live?

Oh yeah cops love to give tickets for the tinted from windows but the funny thing is a lot of people have their front windows tinted. I'm guessing they will look the other way if they can at least see you through the tint. The tint job that I have is as follows. The front door windows are 45%, the rear door windows are 35% and the cargo area windows are 18%. That translates into light, med and dark. Your black Saabaru will look awesome with tint.

That looks hot Rudi, what % tint is that?

I MIGHT be landing an Aero 5-sp within a week or two, and my first mod will be tint, and was thinking about the 3m film...I wonder how well it will hold up before it becomes a nasty, peeling mess? Does anyone have an idea?

I know brother, I had tints on my 04 civic Si for a whole year, then one night this punk gives me a ticket. What really upset me was that he didn't post the ticket on my car, I had to get it through the mail... that means he probably didn't even bother getting out of his car to ticket me, then he would have seen I only had 35% tints in the front, but my black interior makes it look darker. The other thing that upset me was when I read the ticket I saw he had ticketed me at 11:30 at night, WTFreak is that!?

I'm sure it will last a while, besides it has a either a 3 or 5 year warranty so I will not worry about until that warranty runs out. The front windows are 45%, the rear doors are 35% and the cargo area is 18%.
