Drove 5 hours to Salt Lake City the other day averaging about 80-85mph (80mph interstate out here) and returned 37.7 mpg. These 9000s are exceptional highway machines !

Thats excellent! 9000's are crusiers galore. I remember during early weeks of covid I was making a half hour drive cruising in 4th the whole time and got excited with 32mpg so I took a snap. 37+ is way worthy of snap. I regret letting this car go. probably the best car I will ever have owned.

Uk mileage reads a bit higher, but have done over 1000 miles at 45mpg with fragile passengers onboard driving like Miss Daisy, and 19 mpg over more than 1000 miles middle of the night across Deutschland at WOT in a full on run from Milan to Calais. Great all around machine!

The other thing that makes these cars such great highway machines is the stability because of their size as well as tall gearing on the manual transmissions. My 95’s gearing is awesome. 5th is for 75 and above!
