The Maptun one sells for £115 plus taxes plus postage. It needs a adapter plug so it isn't a dedicated Saab manufactured bit of kit. I've done a search on the web and in the US similar sensors sell for $50. Apart from the 3 wire connector blocks I cannot see any reason why a cheaper one cannot do the same job.

I don't believe Maptun make their own and do what everyone else does and buy them in, and inflate the price on the back of their reputation.
What do you think?

What would TAX & Carriage add to that price ?
this is what I run
get them to label it " replacment parts"
worst case will be about £15 for carriage & same for tax if you have to pay

It'll go in a small padded envelope and can be labelled as a gift, or switch with a value of $10....it wouldn't incure any charges from my previous experiences.

It should come through ok in a small padded envelope. I got mine delivered to a friend in USA and carried back for me. Shipping to USA address was $10.94 making a total of $79.94
