I think it's time to either start a fresh one of these or unsticky this one.

It's a bit old now...
I agree. My 900 is still in the 150,000-175,000 range in the poll and there doesn't seem to be any way to change that.

It should make it to the 225,000-250,000 slot by the end of the year, if not a lot sooner. ;ol;

106k on my totaled 2001 9-3 and 145k on my 2002 9-3 SE. Put about 15k on the 2001 in the 7 months I had it. The thing ran perfectly almost the entire time. Until some jerk rear ended me going 45mph.

Just over 116K (verified by a stack of service/maintenance receipts) in my newly acquired 900S Convertible. Really good miles and condition for a 20 year old car.

900 is now a winter beater with a little over 362,000 km (225,000 mi). Non-turbo engine still uses 0.1 L of oil in 1,000 km.

Crossed 130k miles over last weekend. Original Saab DIC gave up ghost at 129k just couple weeks back. Compression all four cylinders same 190psi so I'm happy and hope car will last long long time. Still doing various low budget improvements to the car...it sat for ~6 months before I bought it several months back...best $1500 car I ever bought. :cheesy:

Clean Swede

Popped off the valve cover off my 90 900-S 2.3L to inspect at the 205,000 mark. My friend who works for a Euro car parts distributor called my SAAB 900-S "one Clean Swede". I guess all those 3K oil changes and engine flushes paid off. No slack in the timing chain, not too sludgey. All is well.

Odomoter miles

Hi there,
I have 'only' 98000 on mine. Looking forward to many more. Bought mine 3 years ago with 65000 miles in Chicago. Have had front and rear suspension done. New battery, new alternator, changed fuel filter, changed cabin AF twice, replaced existing DIC with used DIC from Victory Auto salvage yard, new thermostat, new starter, new oil pressure sensor, new neutral safety switch, rebuilt radiator fan with new resistor, new engine AF, new spark plugs, many Mobil 1 synthetic 0w40 oil changes, one transmission oil change with full synthetic Mobil 1 I think, switched out SIDs from salvage yard and auto climate control also from salvage for better pixels readout only, new tires. Propped up rear drivers side window internally to remain closed due to broken regulator connector. A work in progress...Thanks!

Love Saabs

I now have 197K on my 1999 9-3 SE Vert...I recently blew a passenger side hydraulic line for the top and am anxious to fix it so I can enjoy this weather.
Turned my 1995 900 SE Vert (V6 Automatic) over to my Son with 186K on it.
Saabs Are IT!!!

185,000 miles 1999 Saab 93 base convertible. I'm second owner. Got it at 100,000 miles. Was trouble free for first 3 years then fixed the following non-standard parts:

1. vert' roof fixed 3 times
2. new used engine
3. rebuilt turbo
4. new fuel pump
5. new radiator
6. drivers seat leather split
7. alternator

As well as a few odds and ends but for the age and mileage, it's been a pretty good ride. I bought it for $7300 and put in about $5000 or so on the non-standard repairs. Had it 12 years so that's about $120/month. Not bad but lately there have been a string of odd issues but they do get resolved often with tremendous help from members of this forum!

My saab only has 89k on it, however it is getting a little rusty. All of you guys that have 250k+ miles really make me want to keep the car. I just looks like I have had bad luck with mine.
