One of the knocks on Saab is that GM put too much plastic in the cars. I can live with most of it, but the plastic interior door handles and the plastic shift counsel are pretty awful.
Has anyone up graded this area and, if so, got any input, or are there any aftermarket suppliers that offer just the shift counsel upgrade. I don't want to do a whole house upgrade which seem readily available.
Thanks,
Mike

I couldn't stand that black plastic around the shifter either so I bought the interior trim piece. You can either get the wood or silver trim.

I paid about $50 but I think they are more expensive these days. It sure looks so much better.

I´m having most of my interior nappa leather done: all the lower dashboard from side to side, the front part of the dash, the center console, and the doors (the door pulls, the door glove boxes and the lower part of the doors (the same in the rear doors). So with more leather than the 9-5 troll-R (9-5 by Hirsch Performance). I have seen the OEM carbon, wood and alu interiors, and very honestly said: nothing by a FAR distance as good like a real high quality leather, nothing.

Mike, I did try to order the part that Wulf is talking about but Saab USA Parts said it wasn't avaliable anymore. Also it sells for around 100 dollars now. But I don't know if came avaliable again and I can't find my part number that Wulf sent me either. So good luck and let me know if you find it.
