On my 07 9-3, in the settings there is a "Main Service" counter which is at 19% right now. Is there a way to figure out when it will be down to the point that it needs serviced? I've read alot of the posts and it seems the 06 and earlier had more info available such as days until service. I bought it 1000 miles ago from a Chevy dealer who "serviced" it but couldnt seem to tell me for sure if it was synthetic or what weight it was! I'd like to at least drain it and refill with Mobil One but not if its going to need service in a month or two. I have 6 months and 12K miles left for the free maint. ideas?

It's supposed to depend on your driving style, but mine is right on schedule to hit 0% at the 10k mark. I would wait until you reach the 0% and get the free oil change. You're gonna be there in a short amount of time anyways. My guess is 2k miles until time to change. If a dealer serviced it, you probably got 5W30 oil either standard or synthetic blend. I wouldn't panic either way.
