ok so my front wheel bearing is really bad. I have a 2006 saab 97x. i was wondering if someone has a link to the steps on how to change that bearing and if i need to careful when doing this job or what recomendqtions in need to have in mind in order to have this job well done?? thank guys. btw. in new to the page so i hope to get some feedback.

It's a pretty straight forward repair.

Remove the wheel, remove the axle nut, remove the brake caliper and rotor then unlplug the abs sensor

Tap the axle inward with a hammer and a brass drift. just make sure the splines are free

On the back side of the wheel bearing you will find (3) 15 mm head bolts back these all the way out and pull the bearing assembly out.

sometimes it is rusted in place, in the past i have threaded the bolt in 5 or 6 turns and used a air hammer on them a little at a time to help push the bearing out

installation is reversed, I don't know the torque for the axle nut off the top of my head maybe 140 ft/lbs

Autozone has US made Timken bearings for cheap
