Folks,
Windscreen washers have failed, suspect its the pump but would like all the info at my disposal when I start peeking and poking around. Would it be possible to post the full wiring diagram for the wiper/washer system please? I'm quite handy with a multimeter...
Background - the popup washers failed following the bad winter 18 months ago - the 20A fuse in the relay compartment kept blowing so I suspect its the pump.
The windscreen washers failed about a week or so ago. They had briefly stopped working before that for a couple of days but them came back to life (I persisted on one journey by trying was washer in short bursts and eventually it came through - just like you do on a frosty day except this was in the middle of a british summer!).
The other evening, I tried them again but instead of a short burst, I kept the stalk pulled back (bad day at work), heard a pop and then the wipers also stopped. Got home and yup, the 30A fuse had blown in the compartment at the side of the dashboard.
Now if I even just flick the stalk back (forgetting its broken), the 30A blows.
Obviously the fault has progressed a little given the 30A now blows straight away - thoughts as to the untold damage I have done?
Thanks
