My car is acting wered the last couple of days. In the morning my check engine light is on and when I start it up when I go home when I'm done with work it's off. I have no idea why it's doing this. It's a 2.0T.

Sufficiently vague. To mirror Diggs, you need to start with an OBD2 scan for codes, which should still be stored as a history code even though the MIL is not currently on. It just means the test has not run during the current drive cycle. You could swing by any Advanced Auto, AutoZone, or O'Reilly Auto and they'll do an OBD2 code scan for free, but.... the fact that you do not know this leads me to believe you would also not know how to repair either. Best to pay a shop for an hour of labor to diagnose your problem.
