hi all, I'm new here as I just bought a 2005 2.0t. Amazingly, almost everything works! However, there's one thing I can't figure out from WIS, or the parts manual - how does the headliner attach to the rear pillars? I've tried pushing the plastic strip into the channel on the hood but it just pops out. It doesn't seem to be like the MK1 9-3s with a screw, so...?

All help gratefully received! (I spent last night searching for answers, videos or pictures and came up empty, so please be gentle if there's already a thread on this)

There is wedge strip. Remove it, put headliner to channel and put wedge strip.
Use soap/water to lubricate it before putting back.

Turned out I was being dim. For anyone finding this in the future, the wedge strip is sewn to the headliner and just pushes into the channel. However... it's important to NOT get the extra headliner material in the channel, and to hit the strip on the edge with a rubber mallet to seat it properly.
