First off, Thank You

For future reference, how do I find the exact engine that this car has?

Ive recently purchased a tech 2 clone and I have it communicating with the vehicle.

Symptoms:

  • very low power, seems to be in limp mode
  • erratic fuel pressure, needle bounces around violently near 35-40psi
  • fuel gauge jumps around, then returns to zero
  • car idles ruff
  • barely drives

What I’ve tried:

  • New fuel pump, exact same issues
  • New fuel pressure regulator
  • New purge valve

I’m looking for the exact steps to hooking up the Tech 2 and diagnosing the fuel system.

These are the error codes I have. If you see any that may be effecting the fuel system, please recommend steps to diagnose.

Thank You for helping

how would I address the module not added?
what does that mean? Modules not added? I think I may have messed up a module trying to get it to copy a key.

Might want to try readding the cim as that is what the fobs are programmed too..

you can't copy fobs you can only remove/add them...used fobs can't be used..

right, add is what I mean. I bought a fob for it and it didn’t work, so I have a own fob I’m going to try…

Im sorry if I am new, but what does re-read the CIM mean?

OP could have 315MHz fobs (P/N 12783780).
What I see is you have throttle body failure.

What do you recommend? I believe I’m going to take the fuel injectors out and test them first thing. I’m wondering if I can make a video of my tech 2 readings while the system is running on the vehicle to provide more feedback on the issue. Where do I need to look in the tech 2 to check for normal values and diagnose exactly where the problem is?

How do I test the throttle body? Can I clean it?

ty brother 👍🏼

Does anyone have an idea about the fuel filter on the 2004 arc turbo? I’ve heard these models don’t have fuel filters. Any idea why these might not have a fuel filter? If they do have a fuel fifer, anyone know where it is?
