Hi my names Giovanni, I own a 2003 Saab 9-3 arc. I recently installed a boost gauge and was wondering if anyone knows how much boost it should be pushing in each gear since it has boost by gear (6 speed.) I heard you don’t get full boost in first and second but I’ve seen It touch up to 15 psi, I also read that the on a stock tune you will only push 11.5 psi max, is this true? When I accelerate in 3rd it jumps up to 15psi but doesn’t hold it, it then drops to around 10 is this normal?

Nominal max boost for 2.0T (TD04-14T turbo) is 12.3 psi. What you're seeing looks like normal overshoot. ISTR max torque is limited in lower gears, not boost.

Upon further investigation, boost is limited in 1st and 2nd gear (only making 9-11 psi.) with normal overshoot to around 15 psi for low end torque. In 4th boost will rise until it reaches 17psi around 4750rpm and will hold. With that said does anyone know what psi the ecu will cut fuel at?
