I'm in need of a new turbo for my 2003 9-5 Aero. I've found a low miles pull (58k) from an 06 B235R 9-5. I'm thinking this will work - Will this bolt right up?
Yes, anything with a G and an A in the engine location of the VIN will work. Mitsubishi TD04HL-15T is the turbo, it should say so on the side of the compressor housing.
The compressor housing on the '06+ (Dame Ednas) is actually smaller (thinner). It's machined down so the fatter king cobra pipe will fit. There used to be a couple of places that would machine older ones to fit a king cobra pipe. I don't think there's any good reason why you couldn't put the older cobra pipe on a newer turbo with the thinner housing, but it seems like a waste if the donor car still has the king cobra pipe.
