A friend of mine is considering buying a 2002 9-3, manual transmission and convertible. 87,000 miles on this thing.

What are the major issues, problems, vexes, etc with this generation of 9-3?
Please elaborate on things that I look for.

I am pretty familiar with NG900s as I own a 1996 900SE Convertible, 2.0 Turbo. I'll be going with him to look at it and know enough to get him started. But we need to know about any specific issues or problems with this more recent model to be on the lookout for.

EDIT: sorry didnt read last thread all the way through
make sure it has all the maintanance records and that it has the pcv update
other than that it pretty close to the same issues your saab would have
