A little background info:
I just got my car back from the shop. A pully for the serpentine belt seized and the belt got shreded and flew all around the engine. Had it towed into the dealership. They replaced pully and belt, cleaned all peices of shredded belt out of engine and they said all was well. I drove it home. 2 days later I just went out to start it and it won't even crank. You turn the key and nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas? Is it the starter? I really can't afford to have it towed again so would like to try and get it running again. Thanks in advance.

Not enough info.
-- Mileage?
-- Auto or 5 speed? If so, wiggle the shifter and try again or start it in the neutral position.
--How old is the battery?
-- Maybe the mechanic unhooked the battery to do the work and didn't tighten it back well enough.
-- Any lights on the dash? Are they dim or bright?
-- Is there a tic when attempting to start?
Any accessories working? What about the elcric windows? do they go up and down?

Also check all the wire harnesses around the belt, when the belt shreds it pulls and damages many things in its path. You may have some damaged wires.

To paraphrase.... If you have an automatic tranny and the rest of the car's electrical items work( ie. radio, lights, air) but the starter just isn't engaging when you turn the key then read this thread...
