Dear enthusiasts,

I have a weird intermittent starting problem.

Video is in Croatian language but let me explain

First key to possition 2 all good
To off and second turn to possition on starts good but dashboard/sid die altogether
Comes back to life on its own
Turn to start the dashboard dies

After the video it would not crank and no dashboard for an hour

After doing nothing it cranked and started and drove for an hour

What could be the cause? Ignition barrel pops out, PRND up and down do nothing

Ignition switch it self?

Video bellow

I have blown pump relay before, before I found out it was relay i sanded all the grounds because I though it was due to bad ground ( had spark but no fuel but pump was priming due to sound)

The one behind drivers light is ok sanded and thightned
The on on tranny mount is connected and sanded
On the block near brakebooster is also ok
Dont know if there are more

Fuses not blown because intermittent

Thanks for the input ;)

Weird starting problem

I have a 2001 95 that would randomly not start. Would not turn over like a dead battery. After sometime went by it would start.

Turn out it was the neutral switch. its down in behind the battery.

Did you also had dead dashboard when this happened? Sounds to me as the light on the dash should all light up but on key turn no start because NSS is malfunctioning.

Mine go dead as you disconnected the battery
