Anyone know where or how to rig up a more reliable throttle linkage? This keeps popping off

I'd just like to know the dimensions of the throttle rod you are holding in your hand! I am trying to build a throttle shaft by guess and by gosh, and by gosh it is not going well. You need a new "universal joint" piece that Skandix is now sold out of. People have used plumbing couplings...

I actually found a good coupler from the other one in our junkyard. But I’ll probably eventually create something more reliable
